  • Helmut Chik is a distinguished leader with over 30 years of experience in the TIC industry, including 17 years as a Management Member of the SGS Group Executive Board. During his tenure, Helmut played a pivotal role in shaping the global strategy and operational excellence of SGS Group, the world’s largest TIC organization.

    From 2004 to 2016, he served as Chief Operating Officer of the CHK Region, overseeing operations in China, Hong Kong, Macau, Mongolia, and consumer product businesses in North America. Under his visionary leadership, the workforce in the region increased exponentially from under 2,000 to 14,000 employees, while revenue expanded more than eightfold through strategic initiatives, operational efficiencies, and market-driven growth.

    In 2016, Helmut assumed the role of Chief of the Northeast Asia Region, SGS Group’s largest operational region by headcount, revenue, and profit contribution. His responsibilities spanned Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and Vietnam, where he implemented transformative strategies to enhance regional synergies and drive sustainable growth. Helmut also played a foundational role in creating the Consumer Product Business Portfolio for SGS Group, serving as Vice President of the Softline Strategic Business Unit and Global Business Controller.

    In recognition of his contributions to the TIC industry, Helmut was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Center Testing International Group (CTI) in October 2023 and currently serves as a Strategic Advisor to the Group CEO of Dekra Group.

  • Frédéric Herren is a distinguished executive with over 40 years of international leadership experience. He began his career at the World Economic Forum (1980-1987) as International Relations Manager before joining SGS Group, where he held multiple senior management roles across two tenures (1987-1995 and 1999-2021).

    At SGS, he served as Vice President of the Economic Affairs Division, Executive Vice President for Automative Services (2003-2010), and Governments Institutions Services (2006-2014). He also served as COO for Africa (2010-2017) and Senior Vice President of Digital Innovation (2017-2020), where he designed and implemented a digital roadmap for the company while engaging over 97,000 employees in an innovation process.

    Between his tenures at SGS, Frédéric was General Manager at Unilabs (1995-1998). Since retiring in January 2021, he worked as an independent consultant, contributing his vast expertise in international government relations, emerging markets (particularly Africa), corporate governance, and innovation.

    Frédéric holds a master’s degree in Finance from the University of Geneva, has completed executive programs at IMD Lausanne and Swiss Board School, and maintains board positions at Delen SA (since 2018) and the Geneva Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

  • Terence Ho is a seasoned financial strategist with over two decades of leadership experience in corporate governance, financial oversight, and business transformation. As Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Northeast Asia Region for SGS Group (2017-2021), Terence directed finance, legal, and central procurement functions, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency across 30+ legal entities.

    Terence’s prior role as CFO of the CHK Region (2008-2016) saw him overseeing strategic M&A activities, streamlining financial processes, and fostering cross-border collaborations in a complex regulatory environment. Before joining SGS, he held pivotal leadership roles at TNT Express Worldwide, including Business Process Manager for Greater China and General Manager for EMS services in China.

    Terence is a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA) with memberships in AICPA and HKICPA. His board memberships in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Vietnam reflect his global perspective and strategic acumen.

  • Vincent Tsui brings over 25 years of experience in the Executive Search and Recruitment industry, with a proven track record of recruiting for top management, finance, human resources, sales, marketing, business development, operations, technical, engineering, and R&D positions. Vincent has deep industry expertise across sectors such as IT, telecom, manufacturing, trading, pharmaceuticals, and TIC.

    Vincent founded CountryTECH Recruitment in 1993, growing it into Hong Kong’s largest and most reputable IT recruitment firm within seven years. Under his leadership, CountryTECH achieved a turnover exceeding HK$60M, employed over 300 staff, and was acquired by an international listed company in 2000.

    As the Managing Director of Master Talent International Limited since 2005, Vincent has successfully run the business profitably every year. He has developed strong relationships with senior management and HR professionals from international and local enterprises, assisting in recruiting over 200 middle-to-senior-level staff members.

  • Spencer Yeung is a highly accomplished professional with over three decades of distinguished experience in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic insight in various senior roles at SGS.

    Spencer served as Vice President of Consumer and Retail Services across Asia Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East, as well as Global Softlines. Additionally, he held the position of Vice President of Global Softlines Business Development and served as Managing Director of SGS Hong Kong, where he spearheaded transformative business initiatives and operational excellence.

    Beyond his corporate achievements, Spencer has made significant contributions to the industry through active participation in key initiatives. He served as Chairman of the Industry Training Advisory Committee (ITAC) of TIC and was a respected committee member of the Hong Kong Council for Testing and Certification (HKCTC), reflecting his commitment to advancing industry standards and fostering professional development.

  • Arthur Kwon has an illustrious career spanning more than 30 years in the TIC industry, with a proven track record of driving growth and innovation. At SGS Korea, he held several key management positions, including Managing Director, where he oversaw electrical safety, EMC, wireless, and reliability testing and certification services.

    Arthur was instrumental in leading strategic acquisitions, such as KES (EMC/RF lab) and KCQT (contribution material lab), which significantly enhanced the company’s technical capabilities and market presence. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in merging acquired entities into SGS Korea, ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence.

    From 2019 to 2022, Arthur served as Managing Director for SGS North America, where he managed consumer product operations across the United States and Canada, driving business growth and operational efficiency. His leadership was marked by a customer-centric approach, fostering strong relationships with clients, and delivering value-added solutions.

  • Dora Lin is a highly experienced leader with over three decades of expertise in laboratory operations, business development, and quality assurance. At SGS-CSTC, she held senior roles, including Director and Deputy Director, managing extensive testing services for toys, textiles, and footwear in China and Hong Kong. She was instrumental in setting up laboratories, implementing QA systems, and ensuring compliance with national and international standards.

    Before joining SGS-CSTC, Dora served as the Chemical Department Manager at TÜV-SÜD Shenzhen, where she contributed to high-quality chemical testing standards and operations. Her expertise spans facility setup, client relationship management, and multi-laboratory coordination. Dora holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry from Shenzhen University and is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, making her a highly effective communicator in international business environments.
